My wife and I have decided to wait for next time to do a multiday expedition in the Johnstone Straight area. This time, our first visit to the island, we will check out the Ucluelet/Tofino area for 6 days.
Can someone please recommend one-day excursions (boat, kayak, hiking) and/ or outfitters that they really liked. We will have a rental car to get us around on land, so I thought that it would be good to get onto the water for one or two of the days.
also, we want to hike the "accessible" 11km stretch of the West Coast Trail. any pointers you have on this would be welcome. Is this one way, or roundtrip? If we left a car at the trailhead of a one-way hike, how can we get back (without turning it into a 22km hike!)?
