Decline in Market Value Reassessment process Alameda County?

I know I can file the Decline in Market Value Reassessment Request if I think my property value on 1/1/08 is lower than what had assessed. The county sends out property value statements in July 08. If my request is approved, do they send me a new statement? I don't know what happens afterwards.
