My boiler and immersion tank are 20 yrs old and the immersion tank has started leaking. I have been quoted £350 to replace the tank. I have now started having a few problems with the boiler as well and our plumber has recommended instead of repairing the boiler and fitting new immersion tank we should have a combi boiler fitted. I have heard some negative comments about combi boilers and am wondering should I just replace the existing tank and boiler and not have a combi boiler. I have one bathroom in a 3 bedroom house. What should I do ?
